Joshua Ryan Topolsky (born October 19th 1977) is an American technology journalist from the United States. He is also a recording DJ and producer using his stage name Joshua Ryan. Topolsky was co-founder and editor in chief of the tech news channel The Verge, and a co-creator of the subsidiary business Vox Media. Prior to that, he served as the editor-in-chief at Engadget.

The New York Times reported on July 24 the 24th of July, 2014 that Topolsky will be going to leave The Verge on August 4 in 2014 to take on an editorial role at Bloomberg. The Times noted, “He will develop and run Bloomberg’s new ventures, which will cover specific topic areas such as politics and luxury.”

In April 2015, Topolsky started Tomorrow, a weekly podcast about current trends in technology, news, and culture. Each episode of Tomorrow features cohost Ryan Houlihan and a special guest, ranging from Google designer Matías Duarte to Topolsky’s own wife.

The New York Times reported on July 10, 2015 that Topolsky would be leaving Bloomberg Business after clashes with founder Michael Bloomberg. This follows a radical redesign of Bloomberg Business web properties.
