Estefan began her career as the lead singer of the Miami Latin Boys, a group that later became known as Miami Sound Machine. She achieved mainstream success with the 1985 release of the album Primitive Love, which spawned the international hit single "Conga". Estefan has released a total of 24 studio albums, including the multi-platinum albums Cuts Both Ways (1989), Into the Light (1991), and Destiny (1996).
